Dhyana Mudra

Both palms of hand are put on the lap by upward position and the right palm puts on the left palm in easy position and some thing like getting of Zama and Samardi. In these poses Sometimes both thumbs has touched each other and the remaining fingers are put in stretched out position. Two eyes are closed and two hands are touched each other. It means stillness and stability.

 

Dharmacharkra Mudra

The right thumb and Forefinger are touched with left thumb and forefinger and the right hand is in the shape of winding a wheel. Both hands are raised up to the bosom and usually the left hand is covered on the right hand. This kind of posings are very prominent in Myanmar. This sign of pose is called "Dhamma Setkya Mudra". It formed the sign of preaching the First Dhamma Setkya to 5 Waggies by the lord Buddha on the full moon ofWarso and it showed the winding of Dhamma wheel.

Abhaya Mudra

The pose: a hand a little bended and the palm is stretched out and fingers are stretched out upwards. It called Ahbava Mudra (no danger)

 

 

 

Bhumisparsa Mudra

The right hand is dangling at the side of the body, palm is turned inside and all fingers are stretched out and pointed downwards to the earth. The left hand is put on the lap and the back of right hand and the palm of left hand are visible.
